Depreciation valuation pays the item's current replacement value minus depreciation, and its cost depends on the value you declare. Full value protection costs the most and covers the full cost to repair or replace an item with no deduction for depreciation. Check your homeowners or renters policy too, since it may already cover your belongings during a move.
